Request account or membership removal

YardMate uses a review and de-identification workflow because immediately deleting an account could destroy stable-owned horse-care records, task history or security/audit evidence.

1. Sign in. Open YardMate Settings and choose “Request account removal”. A Stable Hand can choose “Request removal” directly on the Today board.
2. Choose the scope. Every signed-in user, including a Stable Hand, can request full account deletion or choose to leave one stable.
3. Operator review. Access may be disabled promptly. The operator reviews records that can be deleted, records that should be de-identified, and records that must be retained with a documented reason and period.
4. Confirmation. The operator responds through REQUIRED OPERATOR INPUT: verified support/contact channel and response timeframe.

What may be removed or de-identified

Account profile information, optional route points, support data and other personal data should be deleted or de-identified when no longer needed and when deletion is permitted. Exact operational handling and backup expiry: REQUIRED OPERATOR INPUT.

What may need to remain

Stable-owned horse care, assignment/completion history, safety or incident records, security logs and legally required records may be retained. They should be limited, access-controlled and de-identified where feasible. YardMate does not promise immediate hard deletion of those records.

Cannot sign in?

Contact REQUIRED OPERATOR INPUT: privacy/support email and identity-verification process. Do not send a PIN, medical notes or identity documents through an unverified channel.

Other privacy rights

Account removal is only one privacy right. Signed-in users can submit other authenticated privacy requests from YardMate Settings, including access, correction, restriction, objection, portability and consent withdrawal. Where GDPR applies, requests must be handled without undue delay and normally within one month, subject to lawful extensions and exceptions. The operator must document identity checks, scope, outcome and any lawful refusal or retained data.
